In 2009 the Financial Action Task Force (the FATF) and the Asia Pacific Group on Money Laundering (the APG) conducted the third Mutual Evaluation of New Zealand's anti-money laundering and countering financing of terrorism regime.
Their report, published by the FATF was publicly released in October 2009 and assesses New Zealand's compliance with FATF's 40 Recommendations on Money Laundering and 9 Special Recommendations on Terrorism Financing (collectively referred to as the FATF Recommendations).
