New Zealand Schools: Ngā Kura o Aotearoa, also known as the Schools Sector Report, is the annual report of the Minister of Education on the compulsory schools sector in New Zealand.
The reports provide information on how well the schools sector is performing.
The reports open with a broad survey of student achievement outcomes, drawing together and summarising the latest information. They assesses the extent to which outcomes have improved and areas in which progress is still required.
This is followed by consideration of key issues such as: schools' engagement of their students, their families and communities; quality teaching; and quality schools (which incorporates matters of governance, leadership, resourcing and financial performance).
