This research report presents the findings of the final evaluation of the Pacific Value Jobs (PVJ) initiative. Porirua’s PATE (Pacific Aim-Hi to Employment) programme and Mangere’s HOPE (Help Our Pacific People into Employment) programme operated from mid-2001 to mid-2002.
The Wildcat model was successfully applied in these programmes, and there were positive outcomes for participants. Research into cost-effectiveness is recommended, however, and there are a number of issues impeding programme effectiveness that need to be addressed.
