The Children’s Commissioner and the School Trustees Association have a shared interest in ensuring the National Education and Learning Priorities are grounded in the needs and lived experiences of all tamariki and rangatahi in Aotearoa. During October and November 2017, they engaged with 1,678 children and young people face to face and through online surveys to hear their views on education. They did this to help ensure children and young people’s voices contribute to the development of National Education and Learning Priorities that will be introduced for the first time in 2018. These report summarises their findings.
