Health Expenditure Trends in New Zealand 1996-2006 provides a basis for identifying and measuring trends and changes in the patterns of health and disability expenditure in New Zealand. This data is also useful in evaluating policies related to health and disability expenditure levels and patterns, plus it provides a basis for comparing New Zealand’s expenditure with other nations.
This report is a continuation of the Health expenditure trends series prepared by the Ministry of Health. It focuses on the 2004/05 and 2005/06 expenditure. This series differs from other expenditure estimates because it relates to all sources of funding channeled through the public and private sectors.
